The Atlanta Dream were defeated Friday night by the Seattle Storm 82-66.

Seattle set the pace right from the get go in the first half jumping out to a 45-27 lead and even though the Dream played a much better second half the deficit proved to be to much to overcome. The Dream couldn’t get the the three ball to fall all night long shooting 6-23 26% from behind the three point line.

Brittany Sykes led the Dream with 12 points, 4 Rebounds, and 2 Assists. Atlanta Dream Coach Nicki Collen decided in the 4th to rest all her starters due to having a back to back so all active players contributed with points.

After the game in Coach Collen’s post game press conference she noted that she had hoped for a better effort having not played for a week but reiterated that there will be games like this during the season.

“You can’t put too much emphasis on one win or one loss. As a coach, it’s about how we respond to this.” – Coach Collen

The Dream will hope to rebound tonight as they travel to play the Washington Mystics with a 7pm tip-off.
